April at Sean’s Place!
April has been a wonderfully busy and exciting month for us! We’ve made the most of the brighter weather by spending more time outdoors and embracing a range of activities with our members. Our garden space has truly come to life—it’s one of our favourite places to be, and this month it’s been a hub of creativity and connection.
Thanks to the hard work of our amazing site manager Tony and several of our dedicated members, we’ve begun a fantastic garden renovation. Together, they’ve been designing and building beautiful new areas for relaxation, planting, and hosting outdoor sessions—each one bringing real benefits to everyone’s wellbeing.
Even more exciting, we’ve started developing our very own garden kitchen! Soon, we’ll be able to grow our own produce and enjoy outdoor cooking sessions. It’s been inspiring to see everyone get involved, learning new skills like building and gardening along the way. The transformation is already looking incredible—and we can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
Thank You!
At Sean’s Place, we feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such a compassionate and generous community. We’re so grateful to the many local businesses and partners who continually go above and beyond to show care and kindness to our members.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the incredible teams at the LFC Foundation and The Carpenters Group, who brought joy to our lads this Easter with a fantastic delivery of hundreds of Easter eggs—it meant the world to them!
We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the wonderful Clare, who, following the heartbreaking loss of her son Marty to choking, has dedicated herself to raising awareness and preventing similar tragedies. Clare has kindly donated an anti-choking device for us to keep on site, ensuring an extra layer of safety for both our members and team. She also thoughtfully gifted us with some beautiful hampers, which we’ll be raffling at our upcoming fundraising events.
To everyone who has supported Sean’s Place throughout April—thank you. Your kindness, care, and generosity make such a difference. You’re all truly amazing!

Congratulations
We absolutely LOVE celebrating the amazing achievements of our members—and we’re lucky enough to witness those special moments every single day! At Sean’s Place, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for our members to try new experiences and build skills they may not have had the chance to explore before.
This month, with huge thanks to our wonderful friends at Hugh Baird College, our members took part in an Emergency First Aid course. For some, it was their very first time learning life-saving techniques—and every single one of them rose to the challenge with courage and commitment. We’re so proud to share that all of the lads passed both their practical and written assessments!
We hope these new skills bring a sense of confidence and empowerment, knowing they now have the ability to help someone in a medical emergency.
A massive well done and congratulations to you all—you smashed it! 🎉👏
What else has been happening in April?
April has been an incredible month filled with energy, connection, and growth here at Sean’s Place! Our regular sessions have continued to inspire and uplift—from Coffee & Connect, mindfulness, soundbathing, and Muay Thai classes to games evenings, movie nights, film nights… and so much more! Every session is another step forward in building confidence, friendships, and positive routines.
We’ve also had some amazing monthly highlights that pushed boundaries and brought plenty of smiles! Our angling club enjoyed a sunny, peaceful day at the lake—perfect for recharging and connecting with nature. Meanwhile, our cycling club took on a fantastic 40 km challenge, showing just how determined and resilient our lads truly are.
A special shout-out to our friends at LFC Red Neighbours who joined us again this month. Their visit was a massive hit—our members had a blast building and programming robots, a session full of creativity, teamwork, and fun! It was so popular that we’re already planning to bring it back.
Every moment this month has been a reminder of how capable, brave, and inspiring our members are. We’re so proud of everything you’ve achieved—keep going, the best is yet to come! 💪🚴♂️🧘♂️🎮
