6pm-8pm Mental Health Support Workshops


Each programme is designed to open conversations and provide techniques to support you with improving self esteem, building confidence, reducing anxiety and managing your mental well being.

.These sessions are relaxed and confidential, it is an opportunity to learn from others experiences but also to talk about your own journey and how it can help others.


 6.00pm- 8.00pm

Sean’s Place Fishing Club

Sean’s Place fishing club is the ultimate group for anyone interested in Angling or would like to give it a go.

Weekly sessions will cover rig making, fish specifications, bait mixing, techniques, fishing disciplines and most of all time to relax and  enjoy good conversations and learning a new skill.

Tea and coffee is provided.

Once per month on Saturdays, the fishing group will have the opportunity to visit Lady Green Fisheries and enjoy social days by the lake testing out their techniques in the beautiful surroundings of the grounds.





1.00pm – 2.30pm Welcome to Wellbeing

This 6 week programme offers support to understand the benefits of self care, our relationship with others, and the benefits of relaxation to improve our mental health and wellbeing.

During the programme you will take part in activities such as art, mindfulness, wood carving, walking and connecting with the community. Each session will help you to achieve new goals, focus on positive aspects of your life as well as relieveing symptoms of stress and anxiety.




Tuesday Evening

6pm – 7pm Guitar Sessions 

Learn guitar skills and theory of music in our guitar programme, sessions are fun and informal with a focus on learning  new things or expanding existing knowledge of guitar playing with opportunities to perform in the local community

7pm-8pm- Beginner Guitar lessons

For those who are brand new to picking up a guitar but still have the urge to give it a go, this beginner programme will support you to learn    the basics ready to progress and develop in a relaxed and informal setting.


7pm -8pm Cookery Workshops (Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds)

Get creative in the kitchen, learning techniques and bringing ideas and recipes together. This fun and informative programme will enable you to feel more confident cooking at home as well as trying new and delicious food each week during the workshops hosted by our chef James.







7.00pm-8.00pm Online Meditation Session


We have introduced this online session due to the success during the lockdown period, you can relax and unwind in the comfort of your own home whilst still interacting with others and taking part.


This session is a combination of gentle chair based movement with breathing techniques designed to help with sleep, anxiety and low mood. This session is delivered via Zoom, participants will be sent a link each week which will give access to the class. You do not need to have your camera switched on if this helps you to feel more comfortable however you will still be able to see some friendly recognisable faces on the screen so you still feel part of the group. 


6pm-8pm Drop In Sessions

This session is for anyone who is not able to commit to our programmes but would still like to engage in support from us, these sessions are informal and relaxed which enables you to simply relax with a cup of tea and a natter with our other members whilst enjoying games such as pool or chess. 

7.00pm – 8.00pm Fitness and Thai

 We have teamed up with the fantastic Team Elite who are now delivering fitness sessions every Friday evening for Sean’s Place. 

These classes can include cardio/ stretching/ Thai boxing/ weight lifting or use of the exercise equipment.

The class can be completely tailored to you and your needs, whether you are a complete beginner or need adaptations to suit your ability the session is accessible for all.


When we receive your referral

To join us at Sean’s Place you can either self refer by completing the form found on the Access Support page . Please note there may be small waiting times for some services, however you will always have access to part of our service in the meantime. You will receive a call from a member of our team who will go through any questions you might have, this also gives us a chance to get to know you a little better and find out how best we can support you. Once you are happy and we are confident we can help, you will be sent a welcome pack in the post which will include all our information and support available to you. A follow up call will be made 1 week later to answer any questions you might have and we will support you to arrange your first visit to Sean’s Place.

Your first day

 When you arrive a member of our team will meet you and offer you a drink.  We will then show you around the venue and once you feel comfortable you will be introduced to the other guys who attend.  The team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have and to support you throughout your time with us.  Each session we will also have 2 Members Coaches available who are current members and understand how it feels to walk through the door for the first time, they will be around to support you too for your first few weeks with us.
