May Highlights…

Mental Health Awareness Week

This month, we also completed our Mental Health Awareness Week with our fantastic fitness class and yoga & mindfulness group who are doing amazing: building strength, self belief, confidence and most importantly inner peace. Huge well done to everyone especially our amazing teachers Kelly and Henry who helps all our members to believe in themselves again. We had some fantastic evening sessions with our Step Forward Group and Coffee & Connect too!

Man2Man Programme

Sean’s Place hosted our first Dragons Den session this month, as part of our Man2Man programme which saw our members pitch their social action ideas which they will create together in the coming weeks. Some amazing ideas that will bring together the whole community. Our members also had so much fun playing a good old fashioned game of Heads and Tails!

Our Little Miss Sunshine delivers a fantastic 2 hour Yoga & Mindfulness session for our members every Friday. Getting our bodies moving is such a fantastic way to take care of both our mental and physical health and has such a positive impact on our overall well-being. It makes our day seeing our members have so much fun! P.S. Gentlemen of all abilities are welcome! 💙🌞

At Sean’s Place, we love to end each week with our Friday evening Coffee & Connect sessions which are always filled with laughter and friendships. Thank you everyone who joins us each Friday 😀

We had the most glorious day for fishing this month. Our members had a lovely sunny day at the lake with some great catches too. Thank you to The Angling Trust for the recent funding to purchase our bait and equipment for our trips. 🌞🐟💙

Huge thank you to this legend. Despite being poorly and injured from a fall, John showed up to repair some doors and cut the grass in our garden. He is a Sean’s Place hero and we are truly grateful for all the help and support he gives us. Thank you John Mc!!!

Therapeutic Groups…

NEW Managing Relationships Programme

Over the past few months, we noticed that there has been a dramatic increase in the number of our members who are struggling with relationship breakdowns and family issues therefore we wanted to provide some further support in this area.

To help with this, we have created a new 3 week pilot ‘Managing Relationships Programme’

This programme will allow our members to explore their own relationships, learn some tools and techniques to help work through any current relationship issues they may be experiencing including understanding, responding and resolving conflict with loved ones. The group will also include relaxation hypnotherapy!
We will focus on a variety of relationships, not just romantic partners. This programme is designed for any of our members struggling with relationships with their family, children, friends or colleagues too.

We are one week in so far and the feedback we have had already is superb! We can’t wait to see the change in our members wellbeing over the next few weeks.

Bereavement Support

This month, we have welcomed some of our wonderful members into another Bereavement Group in partnership with Love Jasmine. This is such a special group to us all and we are looking forward to helping our members through their journey.

We are so proud of everyone who trusts us to support them through their grief. Previous feedback has let us know that…

All the guys have been really friendly and have been able to share their grief with me. I realised that others are also going through the same bad times as me too”
“This group has helped me handle my grief and realise that I do not need to feel so stressed about things”

Please contact us if you would like more information about our future groups.
