Our Patrons
‘At Sean’s Place we simply couldn’t deliver our life saving service if it weren’t for the support of our amazing community.
We have partnered with some incredible local businesses who support us so we can direct our efforts to supporting our members the best we can.
A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Patrons: Supporting Men’s Mental Health Together
At Sean’s Place we believe in the power of community, We want to express our deep gratitude to all of our patrons. Your unwavering support has helped us break down barriers, raise awareness, and most importantly, make a lasting impact on the lives of men facing mental health challenges.
The Journey of Transformation
Since 2019, we have worked tirelessly to create a safe space where men can seek help, share their experiences, and build a support network. The journey to improving mental health for men has been long, but with your help, we have made incredible strides. Through your generous donations, time, and advocacy, we’ve been able to provide resources, initiate programs, and offer counselling that has empowered countless men to feel hope again in their lives.
Your Contribution Matters
Every £ you donate, directly supports our programs, workshops, and services. Your contribution has allowed us to:
- Host confidential support groups for men to share their struggles in a safe, judgment-free environment
- Offer free mental health resources, including counselling sessions, mental health consultations, and many activities and programmes to reduce isolation and increase the confidence of our members
- Advocate for improved mental health services, ensuring that men of all backgrounds have access to the care they need
It’s through the kindness and dedication of our patrons that we continue to expand and offer these vital services to those who need them most.
Celebrating Impact
Each and every one of you has played a crucial role in the growth and success of our mission. We are proud to share some of the key achievements we’ve reached this year thanks to your support:
- Over 2300 men have attended our mental health support last year.
- We’ve provided over 3,000 hours of professional counselling and therapy
- We have trained over 100 new volunteers who have helped provide much-needed support to our community.
These accomplishments are a testament to the power of our collective effort. Without your support, none of this would have been possible.
Looking Ahead
As we look toward the future, we know that the journey is far from over. Mental health issues in men remain a pressing concern, and there is still so much work to be done. But with your continued support, we are confident that we can achieve even greater things together. Our goal is to continue expanding our programs, advocate for mental health policy changes, and create a society where men can feel empowered to seek help and support without fear of judgment.

We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for helping us make a difference.
Here is what Moira from Financial Planning Corporation ( FPC) told us about why she wanted to become a patron
I lost my brother Kevin in 2002 when he was just 40. Back then suicide and men’s mental health in general were topics that were rarely discussed and medication was the only option and it failed.
I firmly believe that if Sean’s Place had existed back then Kevin might still be here.
What Debbie and her team have created at Sean’s Place in such a short space of time is incredible and reflects their commitment to not accepting the status quo. Debbie has been determined to effect change in the approach to men’s mental health and suicide prevention and this is evidenced by the dozens of men who cross their door every day.
At Sean’s Place they find hope, a sense of purpose and comradeship with experts on hand to support them but friends in abundance and the opportunity to take part in new pursuits that all help build self esteem and a sense of purpose.
I am so very grateful to have met Debbie as she has helped me acknowledge my own brothers death and turn that loss into something positive. Seans Place has my enduring support.”
This is what Dirk Pittaway, Regional Managing Director, Robertson Construction North West told us about becoming a patron
“Looking after mental health isn’t always something men feel comfortable doing, but Sean’s Place makes it easier. Whether through group sessions, workshops, or simply spending time with others, they help men build confidence, stay conn
Become a Patron
At Sean’s Place, we value togetherness, partnership and community and this underpins much of the work that we commit to as part of breaking the stigma around mental health.
Our patrons are our champions, who help us to sustain our free service and
change and save lives.
As a Sean’s Place Patron, you will be playing an active role in ensuring that the men in our communities do not have to suffer alone.
Support Men’s Mental Health: Become a Patron of Change
Mental health is an issue that affects people of all backgrounds, yet it is often overlooked, especially among men. Societal norms and stereotypes can make it difficult for men to seek help when they need it, but change is possible with the right support. Our service is dedicated to breaking down these barriers and offering help, guidance, and a sense of community to men facing mental health challenges. We invite you to join us in this vital mission as a patron of the charity, helping us make a lasting impact.
Why Men’s Mental Health Matters
Statistics show that men are less likely to seek mental health support compared to women, and this reluctance has serious consequences. Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and suicide affect men at alarming rates. The stigma surrounding mental health can create a culture where men feel they must “man-up” instead of reaching out for support.
By becoming a patron of our men’s mental health service, you are directly contributing to a movement that aims to:
- Raise awareness and reduce stigma around mental health issues faced by men
- Provide accessible mental health resources, counseling, and support systems
- Offer safe spaces for men to talk, share experiences, and seek guidance
- Promote preventative measures that encourage early intervention and well-being
Why Become a Patron?
As a patron of our service, your support helps fund critical programs and initiatives that reach men in need, including:
- Counseling Services: Financial support enables us to offer free counseling services for men facing mental health challenges.
- Awareness Campaigns: Donations fund public education efforts to challenge stereotypes and encourage men to seek help before things escalate.
- Peer Support Groups: Your contribution helps create and sustain peer-led groups where men can connect and support each other.
- Crisis Support: Donations ensure that men in immediate need of assistance receive quick, confidential suicide interventions
Patrons are at the heart of this change, and their involvement goes far beyond financial contributions. Patrons of our service become part of a dedicated community working to break the silence surrounding men’s mental health and foster a culture of empathy and understanding.
