Referral Information

Before making a referral, please take a moment to read through the information below. Referral forms can be found at the bottom of this page.

At Sean’s Place, we offer dedicated mental health support to men aged 18 and over in Merseyside who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or feelings of isolation and loneliness.

We offer both 1-2-1 support and group sessions, and our team will work with you to create a support plan that feels right for you.

Eligibility Criteria

At Sean’s Place, our aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and supportive environment where men can improve their mental health and wellbeing. To help us make sure our service is the right fit for you, we ask that you read the information below before making a referral.

We may be able to support you if:

  • You are a man aged 18 or over (or aged 15+ for referrals to The Nest).
  • You are experiencing difficulties with your mental health or emotional wellbeing and would benefit from additional support.
  • You may be experiencing thoughts of suicide but are able to keep yourself safe and engage with support. If you feel you are in immediate danger or unable to keep yourself safe, please call 999 or NHS 111 and select option 2 for urgent mental health support.
  • You have stable accommodation and are registered with a GP.

To help us support you safely

As part of our assessment process, we ask everyone to provide honest and accurate information about their current circumstances and any factors that may affect the safe delivery of support.

Sean’s Place is a community-based service and there may be occasions where, following assessment and consideration of all available information, we feel that we are unable to safely meet an individual’s needs or manage identified risks within our service model. In these situations, we will always aim to help you access more appropriate support.

If you are unsure whether Sean’s Place is right for you, please get in touch. We will always do our best to guide you towards the support that best meets your needs.
