The Nest (Nurturing, Empowering & Supporting Teens) is a new mental health and wellbeing service for young men aged 15–18, delivered by Sean’s Place.

Life can feel a lot sometimes. Whether it’s pressure from school/college, family issues, overthinking everything, or just feeling low for no clear reason, it’s easy to get stuck in your own head.

We’ve created a relaxed, judgement-free space where you can talk, breathe, hang out, and get support when you need it.

What is The Nest?

The Nest is a space that exists between youth and adult services. We’re here to give you that place to figure things out, and get the support you need. We are not a clinical service so you can get the help you need in a space that feels right for you.

Whether you’re feeling anxious, lost, or just overwhelmed, we’re here to help.

We can support you if:

You are struggling with self esteem or confidence

You are hoping to learn coping techniques

Would like to learn new skills and build friendships

Sean’s Place has had an extraordinary impact on a diverse range of our pupils, many of whom arrived carrying complex personal challenges that presented in many different ways. What this incredible organisation has provided goes far beyond a simple intervention, it has been transformational.
For some of our boys, their time at Sean’s Place has given them something they had been missing for a long time: confidence, self‑esteem, and a genuine sense of hope for the future. We have seen pupils who usually struggle to express themselves begin to open up, reflect, and believe in their own abilities again. Young people who have previously found themselves in trouble have been given a safe and supportive space to talk honestly about their concerns, their futures, and the kind of men they want to become.
We honestly cannot thank Sean’s Place enough for what they have brought to our boys. For a precious period of time each week, they were able to simply be themselves. They were encouraged to speak openly, explore their emotions, and learn coping strategies that will support them long into adulthood. The sessions have given them tools for resilience, emotional regulation, and self-belief, all delivered in an environment where they felt safe and respected.
Sean’s Place is a lifeline, a support system, and a beacon of hope for our young people and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Curriculum Leader, Sacred Heart High School

Our work with Sean’s Place has been truly invaluable to the students we support. Three of our Year 10 boys have been working with the team over the past six months, and the impact has been remarkable. Through their sessions with the team,  they have not only grown in confidence but have also developed a stronger sense of belonging and inclusion within school.

It has been a genuine pleasure to watch these boys develop, challenge themselves, and navigate the different elements of the course. We have also seen a clear improvement in their attendance, which reflects their increased engagement, motivation, and overall wellbeing.

Sean’s Place has made a meaningful and lasting difference to these young people, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, support, and dedication shown by the whole team.  We look forward to working with the team in future.
