It has been lovely to present 11 of our mentors with awards this week for volunteering during a Global Pandemic. Our incredible team stepped up when it mattered most and provided over 1000 hours of volunteer support to our members so they could have access to help with their mental health when it was needed the most.
From designing cook books and delivering recipes and wellbeing parcels to members door steps, to organising quiz nights and running mental health workshops, to delivering CBT therapy to hosting small coffee evenings and providing weekly online guitar and mindfulness zoom classes- we did it all.
Our team did this whilst coping with their own concerns and new ways of living and also managing and adapting to their own working lives in their day jobs.
We are so proud of them all and want to shout about them loud and proud because without them over 75 men wouldn’t have had the support they needed at a time when it was needed most.
Thank you and well done to you all. Sean’s Place is so lucky to have you.
Thank you Sefton CVS for providing the awards too. A lovely keepsake for those who were a part of that journey with us.
